Facebook has announced (at 4:30 AM PT for some reason) that Timeline is now available to all users worldwide.
Timeline made its developer debut in September to positive reviews, and the company has been updating and debugging the service ever since. Last week, Facebook began rolling it out to individual countries — New Zealand was first.
It looks like Facebook is confident that Timeline is ready for primetime, though. Users get 7 days to update their Timelines before publishing them to the entire world.
A lot people seem happy with the changes, though I’ve had a few friend message me, asking me how they can revert to the old profiles. Big changes always anger and freak out Facebook’s users (and people in general).
Sorry kids: Facebook Timeline is here to stay. If you don’t like it, you’ll just have to get used to it. But I suspect it’ll grow on the vast majority of users. Just like every other feature Facebook has launched in the last half decade.
So, finally it’s being rolled out. We have created http://fbprofilecovers.com where you can get awesome covers for timeline.
how to use it
why 4:30 am PST? cause the world doesn’t revolve around PST 🙂
I am confused, I thought there was a product http://www.Timelines.com that had the trademark on that term and had the right to it. Â http://timelines.com/trademark What happened???
Editor,please.
Sounds like the next new social media platform needs to make waves.
I still don’t see it as having been rolled out yet… What gives?
Facebook has way to many changes. One of the problems you have when you become popular. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it!
7:30am EST, probably timed in conjunction with the Today Show appearance. :) –Detective @BMW.
