  1. Let’s say you have an idea that relies heavily on technology. For example: you have an idea for an app, but you have absolutely ZERO computer science experience, and don’t know where to start as far as implementing the idea. Should you pitch just the idea, or do you need a working prototype and users before anyone will listen? If you need a prototype: What advice do you have as far as starting a business that relies heavily on technology, if you don’t have tech. experience.

    1. Short version: No prototype = No investment

      Long version:
Here’s my perspective as an investor and an entrepreneur. Having an idea for an app is a start, but you need at least a working prototype to interest investors.  Everyone has ideas, execution is the hardest part. You need to show investors that you have what it takes to execute.  You need to convince a tech guy to join you. If you can not code, and if you can not convince a few people to work on it, either you are not cut out to be an entrepreneur or your idea is not good. Either way, no one will invest. Build the prototype.

  2. Ben, seems like a great way to quickly push out useful tidbits in =your “spare-time”.  What is you opinion of the “pet” space for a news site/FB/Twitter integration, entertainment and/or app development?
    Thanks!
